A catch-all feature that is activated for a particular email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you run a company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam emails, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

In case you’ve got a website hosting service with our company and you wish to enable the catch-all feature for a specific email mailbox that you’ve got in the web hosting account, it’ll take literally just a mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have created under any domain name registered in the account. You can choose one single email address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature straight away, so all email messages sent to miswritten addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button once again will disable the catch-all feature. In case you have active email forwarding, our system will display a warning message and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you delete the forwarding or you can simply pick another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be enabled easily in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have created using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a tiny logo conveniently located directly next to each one. With just a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option using the contextual menu that will pop up. In case any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will warn you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
